The trip to DC and back in just a few days was
almost too grueling for old people. We had major jet lag, and then I was sick for two weeks. After being in Russia for 3
months, we have so much work to do! It is rewarding to be able to
finally implement the projects we developed, submitted and had approved, but it was hard to keep working when not feeling well. Here is a picture of the new machines in the sewing workshop at the deaf society.
We were invited to a concert at the Astana concert hall. This is good example of the unique buildings being constructed here.
The program was opera singers with orchestral accompaniment. Between some of the songs there were dance performances. The traditional costumes are beautiful.
| One of our projects was to provide playground equipment, teaching aids, games and sewing machines for a school in a small village. The staff at this school were doing a lot with little. The teachers and the children were so excited to have the items for their school. They presented a program when we visited. |
Also in the last month there was a wheelchair project in Kyrgyzstan, then Neonatal Resuscitation Training in Astana and Almaty Kazakhstan, then in two cities in Kyrgyzstan.

Great pictures, as usual. Thanks for posting!
